Andrew Haigh

After working as assistant director for several successful movies like Gladiator (2000), The Four Feathers (2002) and Mona Lisa Smile (2003), Andrew Haigh began his career as director, screenwriter and producer in 2003 with the short movie Oil, followed by Markings (2005), Cahuenga Blvd (2005) and Five Miles Out (2009). His first feature was Greek Pete (2009), focusing on gay prostitution in London. With Weekend (2011) he has won prizes in several festivals all over the world, both GLBT and non, and has been warmly applauded by the critics.
